Who we are

MyPulse.City ("MyPulse," "we," "us") is a network of daily city briefs and city information pages operated by Number One Son Software Development, United States.

What we collect

• Email address and city preference — when you subscribe to a brief, the weekend or what's-hot list, or request a city. We also note which page you signed up from and the time.
• Usage analytics — when you visit, we record the page viewed, your approximate location (country/region/city, derived from your connection), the referring site, and a daily-rotating hashed identifier derived from your IP and browser. We do not store your raw IP address, your name, or a cross-site profile. This is our own first-party analytics, used to understand traffic and decide which pages and cities to build next.
• Browser storage — we keep small items in your browser's local storage to remember your preferences (such as pinned tools, a visit counter, and your consent choice). These are not advertising cookies.
• Push notifications — if you opt in, we store your browser's push subscription so we can send you alerts. You can revoke this any time in your browser settings.
• Hosting data — our hosting provider (Vercel) may process IP addresses and request logs to serve and secure the site.

How we use it

• To send you the briefs, weekend picks and alerts you subscribed to.
• To understand aggregate traffic and decide which cities and pages to prioritise.
• To operate, secure, and improve the service.

We never sell your personal data, and we use no third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Sponsors and partners see aggregate audience numbers only — never your email.

Affiliate & sponsored links

Some links (for example to events, deals, or services) may be affiliate or sponsored links. Where that is the case we label it, and we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. It never changes what we recommend.

Where it lives

Subscriber, analytics and subscription data are stored with Supabase (database hosting). The site is served by Vercel. Live rates, weather and times shown on our pages are fetched from third-party data APIs (e.g., Open-Meteo, AlAdhan, exchange-rate and gold-price providers) directly by your browser; we send them no personal data.

Your choices & rights

You can unsubscribe from any email via its link, and turn off push notifications in your browser. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data — contact us and we will action it within 30 days. If you are in the EEA/UK you may object to our analytics and lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority; if you are a California resident, you have equivalent rights under the CCPA.

Children

MyPulse is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We will post any changes to this policy on this page with an updated effective date.
